Located in the heart of Abruzzo, a region famous for its gastronomic tradition, the company was born from the Peduzzi family's dream of bringing the quality and authenticity of true Italian pasta to tables around the world. Today, after nearly a century of history, Rustichella d'Abruzzo continues to produce pasta following artisanal methods, using only the best raw materials and respecting ancient processing techniques. Each pasta format is bronze drawn and slowly dried, preserving all the flavor and texture that make Rustichella pasta unique.
"In 1924 Gaetano Sergiacomo, paternal grandfather of the current owners Gianluigi and Maria Stefania Peduzzi, and children of renowned millers who worked in the Vestina area, decided to get out of the family business and establish the "Pastificio Geatano Sergiacomo" in Penne. In 1980, under the watchful eye of Piero Peduzzi, Pastificio Sergiacomo became Rustichella d'Abruzzo, guaranteeing quality and authenticity, the Peduzzi brothers focused their energies on creating a corporate image that would identify the Rustichella d'Abruzzo brand as synonymous with artisanal quality and made-in-Italy excellence."
PREMIUM BRAND IN 70 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD
With a turnover of 14 million euros, Rustichella d'Abruzzo establishes itself as one of the leaders in artisanal pasta production, with 85 percent of sales coming from exports to more than 70 countries. Of these exports, 65 percent are destined for gourmet stores around the world, while the remaining 35 percent find their way into large-scale distribution specializing in the food sector. In Italy, 15% of sales come from the domestic market. Present at the most important international events in the food sector, such as the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco and New York, Anuga in Germany, Sial in France, Fha in Singapore, and the Italian Cibus, Taste and TuttoFood, Rustichella d'Abruzzo is a symbol of quality and tradition under the banner of innovation.
